Hi Spice

If you haven't done so already, have a look at 12 drive web page, some good information on it, not much I can add except that I tell my pupils that it's not a life or death situation, you need to stay calm and drive in the manner your instructor has taught you.

Dont go trying to give a little extra, that is when the examiner asks you to stop at the side of the road, for example, don't think you need to get any closer than you have been doing with your instructor.

If you make a mistake, don't let it bother you and certainly don't give up.

I sat in on a test with one of my pupils, to my way of thinking he should have got 2 serious faults, but his driving, obsevation and consideration for other road users were extremely good, he passed first time with 6 minors.

One more thing to consider is that as you are going for your test, you must be up to the standard required, so BE CONFIDENT, oh and GOOD LUCK!!

Let us know how you get on.

The examiner will be expecting you to be nervous. To be honest, everyone is nervous on the day. I think what varies is the way that we contain those nerves. The examiner is also on your side. He will do his / her best to put you at ease, and that is why you are allowed so many driving faults.

Try not to think of as a test, it’s just someone else at the side of you!

The examiner wants to see that you can drive unassisted, so imagine you are driving on your own and do what you would do if it was just you in the car.
