Step 1, should be a trip to a main post office to get a 'D1' (first application for a licence) and 'D750' (application for a photocard licence) form to apply for your provisional licence, this can be done 2 months before your 17th birthday, also buy a copy of the highway code for a little bedtime reading.
Step 2, is where you start to contact driving schools or instructors, who can help you before and after your 17th birthday, with theory courses, off-road, simulation training, and actual driving.
Our list of driving schools and instructors can be searched to find one that matches your exact needs in your area.
Step 3, Start browsing the rest of our site which includes information on all the types of driving and manoeuvres, how to apply for your theory and practical tests, and also a mock theory test which should help you analyse your general driving knowledge.
Once you have selected a driving school or instructor they will be able to help you with any of the finer points you may need to know. And remember, have FUN! _________________ Regards
